The story is told by Barbie to her younger sister Kelly, who is insecure in her painting abilities.
Rapunzel is a young woman with long, floor-length hair who lives as a servant to the wicked witch Gothel, residing in an magically secluded manor in the woods. She finds companionship in Penelope, a young dragon and Hobie, an anxious rabbit. She spends her time painting pictures of places she dreams of going when she is free one day; Gothel disapproves of this, accusing Rapunzel of being ungrateful to the witch for supposedly saving her from abandonment as a baby.
One day, Rapunzel and her friends inadvertently open a secret passage to the basement where Rapunzel finds a gift from her birth-parents: a silver hairbrush engraved with a message affirming their love for Rapunzel; this leads Rapunzel to question Gothel’s claims of her abandonment. Penelope also discovers a tunnel underneath the floor. Rapunzel follows it, leading to the kingdom outside. Outside the castle Rapunzel saves Princess Katrina from a pit trap with the help of her older brother, Prince Stefan. He tells her the trap was set by King Wilhelm, the ruler of an opposing kingdom who has an ongoing feud with Stefan’s father, King Frederick. Rapunzel hurries off without learning Stefan’s name to avoid Gothel discovering her disappearance. However, Gothel’s pet ferret Otto, who had followed Rapunzel, informs his mistress of Rapunzel meeting a man. When Rapunzel insists she doesn’t know the name of the man she met when Gothel questions her, her paintings are destroyed and her room transformed into a high tower with Penelope’s father Hugo tasked with ensuring she doesn’t leave. As Rapunzel sleeps, the hairbrush magically transforms into a paintbrush.
When Rapunzel attempts to use the brush, a mural of the kingdom magically appears on her wall which she discovers acts as a portal. Rapunzel uses it to meet Stefan again, though she insists he never tell her his name for fear of Gothel, and Stefan gives her an invitation to the masquerade ball that night. Afraid that her father will be punished if Gothel finds out Rapunzel has left, Penelope goes through the portal and begs Rapunzel to come back. Promising to meet Stefan again, Rapunzel paints a portal back to the tower and returns with Penelope. Back at the tower, she paints herself a beautiful costume. Unfortunately, Otto swipes Rapunzel’s invitation and takes it to his mistress. Gothel cuts off Rapunzel’s hair, shatters the paintbrush, and destroys the portal to the kingdom. When Rapunzel once again cannot give Stefan’s name, Gothel then puts a spell on the tower to never release its lying prisoner.Barbie Rapunzel Game Song
With the help of her friends, Rapunzel manages to escape the tower as she never lied about not knowing Stefan’s name, and Penelope flies them to the castle. At the ball, Stefan is lured outside and attacked by a disguised Gothel wearing Rapunzel’s hair; at the same moment, King Wilhelm infiltrates the castle, intending to end the feud by force. Wilhelm accuses Frederick of kidnapping his daughter many years ago—the source of the feud; Gothel arrives and reveals that she was the one who took Wilhelm’s daughter, Rapunzel, due to her unrequited love for him, wanting the kingdoms to destroy each other. Rapunzel arrives and Wilhelm recognizes her as his daughter. Rapunzel tricks Gothel into running into her painting of the tower, where she becomes permanently imprisoned for her lies.
Rapunzel is reunited with her biological parents and marries Stefan. The feud ends and the two kingdoms are united, as Rapunzel’s dreams of freedom come true.

For the casual photographer, Apple’s iCloud Photo Stream service offers great convenience, bringing, as Apple puts it, your photos “everywhere you want them.” And the marketing slogan, within limits, is more or less true.
For example, I recently went on a two-week vacation to Great Britain and brought along with me my old Canon PowerShot SD800, my iPhone 4, an iPad 2, and the Apple Camera Connection Kit. Each day, I would go out, take some pictures with my iPhone (usually to obtain GPS information for a particular location) and others with my Canon, and then, later, import the Canon pictures to my iPad with the connection kit. I had no need to import my iPhone pictures, though; as soon as my iPhone was within range of the Wi-Fi network in the flat where I was staying, the day’s iPhone pictures began arriving on my iPad as well. With very little effort on my part, my iPad became the portable
photo library for all of my vacation photos.

If you don’t have a Photoshop document open, or want to load multiple images into a new document, this is the method to use. Go to File Scripts Load Files Into Stack In the Load Layers dialogue, Click Browse. Navigate to the first image you want to add and click Open. That’s the first image added to the stack. Creating a new library is easy. If Photos is open, you’ll need to quit and reopen to create a new library: Hold down the Option key. Double-click on the Photos apps. And when I got home and fired up iPhoto on my iMac, all of those vacation pictures — both the ones from my iPhone and those I imported onto the iPad from my Canon — were all there in the Photo Stream in iPhoto, ready to be divvied up into various vacation picture albums. But, it turns out that “everywhere you want them” is not necessarily true for everyone. A few days after I got back I was forwarded an email from a Take Control reader who said that, in his experience, Photo Stream did not work between multiple Macs. This baffled us at TidBITS since we had not seen that to be the case. So, naturally, we began some experimenting to find out why Photo Stream was failing for our correspondent.
What Did Work — The first experiment was a simple one. With iPhoto in one user account on my iMac already connected to my Photo Stream, I logged in to a second user account on my iMac (I always keep a second user account on my iMac available for testing and troubleshooting purposes), launched iPhoto in that account, and set it up to use my iCloud Photo Stream as well. That worked fine: the photos in my iCloud Photo Stream began downloading to the iPhoto library in my second iMac user account, even though iPhoto in my primary iMac user account was open and connected to that same stream. No error messages were seen.
So, one Mac and one Photo Stream had no problem with two different iPhoto libraries in two different Mac OS X user accounts.
The next experiment was run by Tonya Engst. She had an iPhoto library on her MacBook that she had just migrated, via Migration Assistant, to her new MacBook Air. Both MacBooks used the same user account name, and both iPhoto libraries were identical. She then proceeded to enable Photo Stream on both her MacBook and her MacBook Air, and, like me, had no problem. Even though both libraries had the same name, and were running in Mac OS X user accounts that also had the same name, iCloud was able to tell them apart and supply her Photo Stream to each of them.
So, two Macs, and two identical iPhoto libraries on two identically named Mac OS X user accounts had no problem with simultaneously connecting to the same stream.
What Didn’t Work — My next experiment was to switch libraries in iPhoto after I had enabled Photo Stream. To do that, with my Photo Stream still connected to the iPhoto library I normally use, I quit iPhoto, and then relaunched it with the Option key held down. Doing that prompts iPhoto to ask you to choose an iPhoto library to open; it’s how you switch between iPhoto libraries if you happen to have more than one. I chose a test library I had created a while ago, and then, finally, I saw an error message much like one that our correspondent had seen.

So, here was the restriction: in any one Mac user account, iPhoto can only connect an iCloud Photo Stream to one iPhoto library at a time. You can’t have two iPhoto libraries in the same Mac user account connected to the same stream.
But this restriction was not, it seemed, what was affecting our correspondent: he was running iPhoto on two different Macs, using two different iPhoto libraries, but he saw the same message. What was going on?Photos Open Two Libraries Simultaneously Without
What Was Going On — After a couple more email exchanges, we got a full picture of how our correspondent’s experience differed from ours. Here’s what he had done.
He first set up iPhoto to connect his Photo Stream to his iPhoto library. He then copied that library to a different Mac. He then launched iPhoto on that second Mac to see if the copied library was intact. It was. Finally, he enabled his iCloud Photo Stream on that second Mac and that was when he got the multiple library error message.Photos Open Two Libraries Simultaneously Using
While we’re still not quite sure what is going on under the hood with Photo Stream and his library, it seems reasonably clear that copying a library that is still connected to Photo Stream to a different Mac and then trying to connect that copy to the same stream can confuse iCloud.
The Moral of the Story? — If you want to copy your iPhoto library to another Mac, or to another user account on the same Mac, disconnect it from your Photo Stream first. Although Photo Stream can connect to multiple Macs, it gets confused when you move an already-connected iPhoto library among Macs.

Is it possible to print the attendee list of a meeting together with the information whether they accepted the meeting and/or showed up?
Outlook only offers limited support for this or not all. There are several workarounds possible depending on which information you need.Printing or copying only the attendee list
Then select it and press Ctrl+C to make a copy. Ctrl+V pastes it in place. Repeat Ctrl+V to make additional copies. Open one copy of the appointment and edit it as needed, then click Invite Attendees to turn it in to a meeting request. Complete it then send. Repeat with the remaining invitations. In Outlook Web App, we could not copy & paste an appointment/meeting to another calendar or an another day. Regarding this feature, you may leave your feedback in Outlook on the web UserVoice where the product team monitor the request of users.
A regular print of a meeting item will include all the addresses or names that the meeting has been sent to.
If you want to copy this list for use in another application (like in a Word document with the meeting results), you can open the meeting and copy the names/addresses from the “To” field. Don’t forget to include the name of the meeting organizer him-/herself ;-).Copying the attendee list with responses
Outlook 2007 and previous do not allow you to copy the attendee list directly to another application without an add-in (see printing section below). A quick workaround would be to take a screenshot and to paste that image into the Word document.

Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 do allow you to copy the attendee information for direct usage in another application. To copy the information, open the meeting, expand the Tracking button and choose “Copy Status to Clipboard”. You can now paste the attendee list in another application.
You can copy the attendee responses in Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 and paste it in another application.
Note 1: The copied list is tab-delimited and might not be suitable for usage directly in Word. If you paste it in Excel first, then copy from Excel and paste in Word you’ll end up with a table which you can easily format in Word.
Note 2: If you want to update the responses so they will reflect whether they actually showed up or not see; Manual meeting responds trackingPrinting the attendee list with responses
Outlook itself does not include the responses of the attendees when printing the meeting. A workaround would be to use the copy method as described above and print it from the application that you pasted the image or list in.
This above workaround might not be practical if you need to do this a lot and a screenshot image might look quite out of place when used in a professional meeting report.
A more streamlined solution can be achieved when using an add-in called Attendees Print from IMIBO. With this add-in you can…

Sometimes, it may require to copy the list of attendees who accepted your meeting invitation only in Outlook. In this situation, please copy the list of accepted attendees from one meeting with below method.

I continue to see many Mac classmates today and find them as delightful today as they were 50 years ago. It also blows my mind how accomplished they are now.

When ever I find myself approaching a knee jerk reaction to an issue or event I force myself to think back to Mac. We learned to think through issues and look at all sides before making up our minds and stating our opinion. I think I do that.Barbouche, Terry Walker

My trip to Paris during Interim 1967. It was the beginning of a love of France which continues to today. I majored in French and spent a year in France after graduation. I so value the education we received. The French literature, Dr Hill’s philosophy classes, a foray into calculus,…all the tools to a wonderful life.

My Dad died suddenly in December 1966. I was studying for finals when I received the call. Everyone at Mac was so supportive. I went home and then on to Paris for Interim. Finals were pushed out to February. Don’t know how I would have managed without the support of the Mac community.

Simply my Macalester education has allowed me to live the life I’ve wanted to live.

What was the most influential experience you had at Mac?
As a transfer student, I was looking for more in a college than my original choice offered. Macalester provided what I was looking for: professors that challenged us to think critically and exposed us to new ideas, an active and engaged student body, lifelong friendships, and exposure to new experiences. Without a doubt, my two trips to France in 1967 were most influential. Both of these experiences opened my eyes to a world I never imagined growing up in a small town in southern Minnesota.
Share a story or moment from your time at Mac:
Recently I found a picture that had been taken of several women ironing outside Bigelow Hall. It happened to be part of a fundraiser for an orphanage in Vietnam. An article in the May 14, 1967 issue of the Mac Weekly announced this event as: “Tuesday-Thursday: Bigelow Hall’s Women’s Association of Slaves will be available to do ironing, mending, and similar tasks for the fellows.” (!!) The announcement alone says volumes about where we were as a society in 1967.
How has your Macalester experience been reflected in your life?
“Why aren’t you working here?” asked Mac’s then-president John B. Davis when I met him at a reception during our 10th class reunion and told him I was a librarian. His question proved to be prescient when I was offered a job as a reference librarian 10 years later as the new library, now the DeWitt Wallace Library, opened. Over 20 years working in the library offered me a chance to stay connected with the college and to work with new generations of extraordinary Macalester students.
How have the values instilled in you at Macalester show up throughout your life?
I would like to think they have shown up in my various roles as wife, parent, grandparent, educator, and volunteer in various community organizations.Beccone, Lew

What was the most influential experience you had at Mac?
While it’s hard to pick just one, certainly the travel & work experience during the summer of 1967 on SWAP was a major growth episode for me. It helped to focus and coalesce many years of education and experience into a useful framework for understanding and engaging the world. Also significant was the chance to interact with caring faculty, talented classmates, and to do honors work in my major. Finally, helping to grow the soccer program into a varsity sport provided its own set of rewards.
Share a story or moment from your time at Mac:
In our senior year, my roommate Ward Benshoof & I earned our meals by serving as Sunday cooks in Wally Hall (the old dining hall). We prepared lunch and dinner and, most of the time stayed true to the SAGA recipes provided. Occasionally we dabbled in improvements. We did bring tears to the eyes of our SAGA manager the time we added some kick to the fairly bland chili recipe provided. Seriously, tears to his eyes. The well-received tasty results were just more kicky than he expected.
How has your Macalester experience been reflected in your life?
My family, work, social, and volunteer life have all greatly benefited from the questioning and lifelong learning skills I encountered and, with the help of top notch faculty and classmates, began to hone in my years at Mac.
How have the values instilled in you at Macalester show up throughout your life?
I guess most obviously in the learning and questioning framework I’ve used ever since – at work, with family & friends, as a volunteer in a variety of organizations. I really can’t credit one experience at Mac. SWAP, Ambassadors for Friendship, interning in Washington, D.C., the Canadian-American Conference, Drama Choros, and studying under Prof. Hildegard Binder Johnson were all lasting and formative experiences.
Share a story or moment from your time at Mac:
My father died during the first month of my Freshman year. The Dean of Women helped me pack and drove me to the airport for my flight home. Upon my return, my Bigelow Hall dorm mates had decorated my room and had little gifts for me. The College arranged for an interim scholarship until our family finances were determined. In short, the Macalester “family” embraced me and let me know this was not just my college, this was my new home away from home.
How has your Macalester experience been reflected in your life?
Mac was nurturing and intellectually provoking. People were kind and inclusive. There was a global perspective. Since Mac, I have tried to be a life-long learner, give back in time and personal resources to causes and individuals, and to look beyond the comfort zone of my home.Coyer, Shahnaz Yusefzadeh

What was the most influential experience you had at Mac?
The faculty, the students and staff and all the people who created trusting relationships and the environment we lived in and studied. Dorm life was wonderful with the friendship of people like Mary R Westra, Jodie Erickson and Carol Schifelbein Erickson who looked after me in those first
months. But, mostly it had to be the International Center, Harry Morgan, Jim Toscano and all the people there who gave a chance to cook food, gather
and share and talk.
Share a story or moment from your time at Mac:
Almost every event that first year at Mac was significant and memorable for me. Perhaps some of the speakers at Convocation and Chapel were more impressive in the social and political context and left a bigger impact. I was moved by the challenging speeches of William Sloane Coffin Jr. and Eugene McCarthy on social responsibility and questioning power. Then also was the summer trip with Ambassadors for Friendship; visiting Arkansas in racial tension, Texas and the little tangle with the traffic cop, or camping with the grizzly bears in Yellowstone. I do remember so well a remark at a picnic in Little Rock, when I heard a woman tell me how they accept the blacks but they would never want to be addressed by their first name from a black person; stunned is how I felt.

How has your Macalester experience been reflected in your life?
Certainly being active in social and community activities. I have enjoyed organizing girls soccer in Minneapolis where I coached and helped incorporated an extensive city league. Teaching was fun but organizing for a professional labor union at the University was really the best challenge. My time at the Minneapolis Neighborhood Organization was also important and productive with the community. The Neighborhood Revitalization Program offered funds to neighborhoods to invest in local programs for various programs. I have also been active in city politics working with the Mayor and city council members.
How have the values instilled in you at Macalester show up throughout your life?
Activism and doing the right thing. We moved to Pontiac, MI in ’73 when all the big GM folks vacated the neighborhoods in fear of busing. I really believe that our time in the city during racial tensions and changes in the urban evolution has greatly influenced mine and my children’s awareness and activism with the constant challenge of racial issues in the country. Mac somehow always created the challenge to stand up for something, take and stance and try to make a difference. I see it in so many of the graduates who have come after us.Early, Evelyn A.

What was the most influential experience you had at Mac?
Activism and internationalism. SPAN was critical. My November 1967 journal is typical: “Today we picketed Mondale for avoiding a strong stand on Vietnam. Later, we heard a speech on Soviet hegemony which Yugoslavian journalist Branco (from MAC’s World Press Institute) critiqued. Standing in Viet Nam peace vigils lets me watch others flying across campus preparing for their ‘world life.’ What part of our future lives will social concerns claim? If you don’t live your concerns, they vanish.”
Share a story or moment from your time at Mac:
My Wally Hall triple catapulted me from a preacher’s kid, teetotaller, Girl Scout life into one of guerilla theater, Petula Clark, 3 a.m. existential exegesis, and Estee Lauder. My roomie Jean wowed me with thespian skills and MAC Phase Three literary magazine “commentaries on lived lives.” She later taught and conducted research on atypical child development at Michigan and the U of Canterbury, Christchurch, NZ. Today Jean and I still revisit topics of yore, plus ones of which we never dreamed.
How has your Macalester experience been reflected in your life?
Dr. White, puffing on his pipe, mesmerized us with philosophy and inspired me to write on the epistemology of a love-based knowledge. Mary, Min, Renee and I designed a philosophy of social science course with Dr. Weiss, attuning me forever to methodology. Dr. Armajani’s support of my SPAN Israel research and graduate school in Beirut, plus TAing for Dr. McCurdy’s interim student subcultures course applying ethnographic techniques to Macalester, launched my Middle East anthropology career.
How have the values instilled in you at Macalester show up throughout your life?
Macalester didn’t exactly instill new values, but it did provide an environment in which values my family had planted could grow. I was grateful for MAC’s focus on off-campus issues since I was nerdy and might have kept my nose in a book. Friends marched in Selma my freshman year, but I was too green politically to consider it. Myriad candlelight vigils later, I joined MACites marching in downtown St. Paul in April 1968 after Martin Luther King’s assassination.

The bottom floor of Turck was all freshman the year I came and we GFTers formed a strong bound. I remember our reenactment of The Unsinkable Molly Brown and several pranks that rooms pulled on each other. One time my window was completely covered in a man-made snow hill.

Just the mention of Mac has opened doors for me-both socially and in my career.

What was the most influential experience you had at Mac?
My experience on SWAP in Switzerland with a farm family truly built for me life experiences. I was alone with a family who spoke little English so had to use my own resources to get through each day. Traveling for a month through Europe with Mac friends was a highlight of my college years. We learned how to be more independent. I am sure my parents thought Mac was following me around,.
Share a story or moment from your time at Mac:
My internship for Congressman Karth from St. Paul in Washington DC was very memorable. Cathy Campbell, Mary Spaeth, Marlene Johnson and I stayed at Cathy Campbell’s house in DC while her parents were in the Bahamas. We even threw a party for Dr. Baird and all the interns while there. We were able to work all morning, roam the halls underground and then play tourist during the afternoons. We were able to attend the State of the Union with President Johnson and sightsee extensively in DC.
How has your Macalester experience been reflected in your life?
At Mac we were encouraged to think for ourselves and gain self-confidence in who we were. I choose a teaching career in Special Education as I knew I wanted to help those in need. I was also able to leave my family and friends in MN and travel west for an adventure in the Bay Area where I met my husband and raised my family. I still return each year to MN because of my strong roots and connections to my fellow students. Mac helped instill that in me.
How have the values instilled in you at Macalester show up throughout your life?
There was a strong encouragement at Mac to be involved with state, national and worldviews. It was a politically raw time in the world and it seemed natural to become involved. Protests were common whether against Vietnam or for civil rights. I try today to stay in touch with what is happening locally and internationally and to express an opinion. I was in the Women’s March in 2017. Were my views formed at Mac? Probably. It was such a formative time in our lives. How lucky we were!!Hauser, Lesley Hendrickson

What was the most influential experience you had at Mac?
I loved the Mac social life, the new friends, the bridge games in the lounge, the meetings with that special someone in the stacks. But the most influential experiences were the thought-provoking, challenging and meaningful courses taught by engaging professors. My life-long habits of mind were shaped by classes like Man’s Search for Meaning, Modern Isms, State and Local Government, Human Geography. These classroom experiences were enhanced by the opportunity to travel abroad and volunteer.
Share a story or moment from your time at Mac:
As a geography major, I had the opportunity to work closely with Dr. Hildegard Binder-Johnson, a legend in her own lifetime. I worked as one of her TAs but one of my tasks was a bit unusual – I bought yards and yards of jungle print material and sewed curtains for her office in Carnegie. I believe they remained in place of many years.
How has your Macalester experience been reflected in your life?
After leaving Mac, my husband and I ended up moving to live in Panama (initially because Gary was drafted and sent to teach golf on military courses in the former Canal Zone) We lived and raised our family there for 20 years. Because of our experience at Mac, we were able to embrace the experience of living abroad. We both worked as educators and communicated the power of learning to our own children and the students were served.
How have the values instilled in you at Macalester show up throughout your life?
I left Macalester committed to service and as a life-long learner. My roles as mother, raising a family living abroad for 20 years, and educator, helping to shape students of the next generation, have all been shaped by my Mac experience. Xpadder is a small and simple Windows application that lets you make the most of your gamepad – and it is free!Xpadder has several features. The most basic is that it lets you map keys to your gamepad buttons. I decided to make a tutorial here to connect with the emulator guides. Some obvious uses of Xpadder in this context:

*Some emulators that don’t let you redefine the gamepad commands freely (use keys, and remap them any way you want)
*Use it to map function keys from emulators to extra buttons (e.g. you can map load and save state to shoulder buttons in Genesis games for “quick load” and “quick save”)
Xpadder also lets you map mouse commands to your pad, or map sequences of keys to a single button press. I leave it to you to devise your own uses for these. Personally I’ve been happy to use solely the basic feature; I have used it a lot with freeware windows games that typically don’t support pads natively, and with WinUAE, the Amiga emulator – many Amiga games use keys as the standard joysticks only had one button, and it’s very inconvenient to access these keys when using gamepads (Amiga joysticks were often 1-handed, while pads are 2-handed).
Key Mapper is a Windows program that facilitates creating your own custom keyboard maps. The program is freeware, and there is both an install setup and a standalone EXE. You can use the program as often and as much as you like at no cost. My keyboard mapping is set for United Kingdom (English) but every now and again for some reason it changes to something else and causes two characters to change positions. Those are the @ and “ I have tried looking on the web for keyboard mapping on Windows 10 but most of the answers are for Windows 8. If you wish your keyboard's keys were laid out just a tad bit differently, you can change it around with a keyboard remapper. Windows users have a few to choose from, but the easiest to use is.The tutorialStep 1: Download Xpadder

It’s very simple. Just unzip it where you want to keep the program. It is a single, small file, no installation required. I advise you to make a folder for it though, so you can easily keep your saved profiles.Step 3: Setup your gamepad(s) – the layout
Run Xpadder by double clicking on it.
You need to configure your gamepad first. Click “New” to do so; you are taken to the Controller editor:
If you want, you can add a picture in the profile – in the “Image” tab, click open and choose what you want:
There are some such images already prepared in Xpadder’s official site, in the Images section (you might want to check if your gamepad is already there – apparently Xpadder treats that pink color as transparent).
Go into the next tabs to configure the thumbsticks. Unfortunately I cannot test this as my gamepad is digital only. It should be almost as easy as doing the d-pad buttons, in the “Direction pad” tab:
Just check the “Enabled” box (as in the image) and the program will detect and prompt you to press the directions in turn.
You may want to move the directional pad to another location (particularly if you have used an image) – just drag and drop:
Adding buttons is also very simple. Pressing the buttons on your gamepad makes them appear in the layout:
This should make it clear why it is helpful to reproduce the layout of your pad – although you can remind yourself what corresponds to each pad button by pressing it on the pad (this is why the last button on the right is different in the image above). Like with the d-pad, you can drag and drop each “button” in the layout at your will:
If your pad has analog trigger buttons, the last tab is for that. My pad only has digital triggers, so I needed to add them already (the two top squares).
You can repeat the process for other pads, if you have them, and save to separate controller profiles, switching between them as desired.Step 4: Setup your profile(s)
With a layout open (See Step 3), assign keys to your pad’s buttons by clicking the corresponding “button” in the profile (e.g. the “up” of the d-pad); an on-screen keyboard pops up:

For instance, if you block the ’A’ key and leave the ’Full block’ option unchecked, the Ctrl+A combination will work. If the option is enabled, the combination will have no effect.
